Homeowners and Landlords will soon be able to benefit from the Green Home Grant Scheme, which is due to open at the end of September.

The scheme will aid consumers in obtaining funding for up to two thirds of the cost of the energy saving measured identified – up to £5,000 – in the form of new vouchers.

The scheme will cover green home improvements including the insulation of walls, floors and roofs, double or triple glazing (when replacing single glazing) and low carbon heating. These measures could help save families up to £600 per year on their energy bills.

The vouchers will then be able to be used with fully accredited local tradespeople to carry out the work required.
